We arrived home at 2PM after our overnight backpacking trip. Kona flopped in her bed at 2:30PM. I had to wake her up for dinner and she didn't budge after eating until morning.
Wow, you had quite an adventure. I enjoyed the photos and the story.
When we used to backpack, we brought coats for the dogs to wear at night, and we always sought morning-sun sites for our tent! Even with the coats, the dogs would still crawl in our extra-large sleeping bags with us.
Now that we van-camp, we bring each dog their own sleeping bag. Spoiled pooches, don't you think?
I hope that you're both rested now after your adventure. I bet that Kona will do even better next time.
Lizard hunting - now that's an interesting thought!

Ahh, sweet dreams of the lizard hunt.
Hope you followed Kona's lead and got some shut-eye, too.
Aww sleep. Feels so good. Man 20 degrees in a tent. You are hard cord.
