Pillars of Strength--A Mountain Prayer

I'm honored to join the ranks in support of a special, courageous canine and her family. K was diagnosed with osteosarcoma not long ago. She has a battle before her, but an army behind her.

We invite you all to visit The Thundering Herd, one of several Pillars of Strength organizers, to see the blog roll and read other posts from K's army.

This is to KB, The Runner, K, and R

Words by John Muir

Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop off like autumn leaves.
Oh, these vast, calm, measureless mountain days, inciting at once to work and rest!
Days in whose light everything seems equally divine, opening a thousand windows to show us God.

Nevermore, however weary, should one faint by the way who gains the blessings of one mountain day;

whatever his fate, long life, short life, stormy or calm, he is rich forever.

Great mountain photos, AC - both the words and photos have special meaning for K, KB, and Family.

Your post shows how well you know us. The words bring us peace and the photos make our hearts sing. The mountains are soothing to the soul, and John Muir knew how to say it best.

The ladybug on Kona's head makes us smile.

Thank you so very very much. We are so happy to have you as our friends.

Breathtaking! Those pictures and words are so perfect for K and KB. I see so many similarities between the adventures you and Kona take and the adventures KB and K have. (Guess I better pack up and move to the West Coast to join in on the fun!)
